The Indian Government supports the creation of plastic parcs for the plastics sector. In Tamot, communities worry about future pollution emanating from these economic zones.
A plastic park is an industrial zone devoted to plastic enterprises and its allied industries. It includes a whole range of companies required by the plastics industry, from material and machinery suppliers to plastics processing companies and plastic recycling companies. These plastic parks are being developed with the support of the Government of India.
The plastic park in Tamot is still in progress. It is expected to provide plug-and-play infrastructure, and financial and secretarial support to the plastic industry.
