Dilles Bottom Dilles Bottom, Ohio Uncertainty around the construction of an ethane cracker, leaves residents in the dark about future build outs in the area. Overview In Eastern Ohio, residents are organizing to try to stop the petrochemical buildout along the Ohio River. An ethane cracker has been proposed by PTT Global Chemical (often called PTTG) in Dilles Bottom, Ohio. The company’s headquarters are in Thailand.

This would be the second ethane cracker to be built along the Ohio River. It is proposed to be built on the site of a former coal plant.

This plant would lead to other infrastructure for storing and transporting fracked gas liquids (plastic feedstock like ethane) that would be built near or under the Ohio River.

Even though a lot of money has been put into this site and homes have been demolished to prepare the site, PTTG has not made a final investment decision about it, and they announced that they've delayed that indefinitely, and their partner, Daelim Chemical, has backed out.
